We understand that every second counts during an emergency. Usually for private clients, an air ambulance can reach the patient’s bedside within 24 hours after receiving the necessary information from the referring hospital. However for patients who are under insurance coverage, air ambulance would take slightly longer as the insurance has to first evaluate if the patient’s condition warrants an air ambulance.
Travel insurance does provide medical evacuation and repatriation capped at a certain amount. Clients are advised to seek clarity with their insurance providers on the maximum claimable limit.
